This is a long term idea, for the time after CCP is done with citadels and hopefully too with redoing Sov again. (2018?)
Why: In my opinion the game lacks of something really new and exciting, where you are the one who explores and discovers everything and be part of a group to shape parts of new space, and where you can destory every aspect of your enemies infrastructure (incl. gates)
Explanation of the basics i thought about: 500-1000 new solar systems, which are by design capable of being completely independant fom K-space if connected properly, still some resourch shortages are present in certain areas to maybe provide content and reason to fight. Vanilla state: no gates, no local, no stations, no other k-space luxury gizmos. Everything you want to have in there, you have to produce first or it has to fit in a DST.
Things and luxury you could achieve through the production of structures: Citadels, Sov, Capitals, Supercapitals incl. titans. Instant Local-Chat member list, Gates with fitting, Security Rating (only going negative to get better rats), different types of rats maybe sth like old rogue drones, or simmilar to sleepers, difficulty depending on sec rating - all other structures and their effects CCP didn't release yet.
How to get there: Accesible ONLY through a small number (25 maybe) special shattered WH systems (with one static k-space to high or lowsec and one static to the new-space) of which the wormholes support max. one Deep Space Transport (DST) before closing.
Alternative idea, 25 or more entry systems with a static k-space whose WHs can only support one DST
Some questions I would like to discuss: Can everyone use the gates you've build? Will the gates give you jump fatigue until you upgrade them with a rig? How will the market work without bounties and huge imports from k-space? How many gates per system and their range? Will players be able to name the systems if they discover them first (with CCP name approval ofc)? What are all the things can you change with new structures? Will part of the systems have Wormhole effects and how strong are they? Will there be asset safety? Will the rarity of entrances disable people from going there? (campers on the holes) |
